Be Gr8rr
“Becoming an antiracist educator requires intentional work.”
What We Do
We organize and support communities of educators and administrators who are on the journey of creating safe, antiracist spaces where all students thrive. Be Gr8rr’s coaching support cultivates collective resistance against systems of racial oppression to form and promote liberated learning spaces. We are ultimately committed to dismantling oppressive practices and policies that are destroying our students’ genius.
Be Gr8rr’s teachings and coaching is unapologetically rooted in the pursuit of Black liberation and liberation of all peoples; therefore, we support clients who recognize that antiracism is not a professional commitment but rather a lifetime journey. We support our clients on their journeys by building their racial consciousness and literacy as well as helping them create new, antiracist culture within their personal lives so that it can be reflected in their practice.

Coach RaVonya
Be Gr8rr’s founder, Coach RaVonya Knight supports educators, administrators, and education decision makers with a vision of all students experiencing schools as safe spaces where they are affirmed in their identities, their excellence is embraced, and they are equipped to transform oppressive culture. She comes to the work with over 20 years of leadership, mentoring, teaching and coaching experience and has been formally organizing school communities to dismantle oppressive systems for over five years. As a Black woman within the education system, Coach RaVonya recognized the deep commitment to upholding institutional racism. She responded with urgency, creating alternate pathways to liberation, using grassroot organizing tools to form educator alliances, as a result, Be Gr8rr was born. Coach RaVonya is committed to supporting educators in an effort to create a mighty collective force to actualize the vision of social transformation for our children, schools, and communities. She seeks to organize national forces where educators work in solidarity with communities to resist, agitate, dismantle, reimagine, and transform oppressive systems. Be Gr8rr intends to cultivate a culture that reimagines what education can be.
